Clauretie taught at Shepherd State College in West Virginia, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, and finished his career at the University of Nevada Las Vegas retiring in 2012 as Professor Emeritus. Clauretie earned his degree in economics from Stonehill College in MA and his PhD from Washington State University, where he met the love of his life, Patricia.
